For the last 6-months, I’ve been working full-time on the Thermal Crossings project. It’s been a rollercoaster ride from start to present, and I’m lucky to have met many AWESOME people along the way. Sure it hasn’t been without the occasional #$%& up, but all in all, this experience has provided me with a huge learning opportunity that has forever changed the way I think about crowdfunded expeditions. My name is Rhys Fisher and I’m a cross-country-paraglider who has recently embarked on a mission to answer the question, “how do we become better pilots without killing ourselves?”. I’ll do this by putting my own pilot progression under the microscope, becoming a guinea pig of sorts. Throughout this journey, I will document how the human body changes as I train alongside some of the world's most knowledgeable athletes, to prepare for the 1500 mile long, and 300 mile wide Tian-shan mountain range. December is the Month. After six months of work, the Thermal Crossings adventure is available everywhere! I put my heart and soul into my projects. Agile Existence, for example, has received tens of thousands of readers, and will continue to be home to many future articles where I share with you exactly how I blaze such an uncommon trail. Compared to this blog, I've already spent 3 TIMES the effort on my new project — Thermal Crossings: Open Source Adventure — to ensure it could inspire athletes and
